Assistant Coach – Baltimore Bays 2012 Crush
Mia Brookshire continues in her role as Assistant Coach for the 2012 Girls Crush team. Mia played for the Baltimore Bays for over 6 years, joining the club at age 13. She was a proud member of Coach Robert (BJ) Sauer’s Bays Pride team. While playing for the Bays, Mia attended Sparrows Point High School where she played for four years and won two consecutive state championships. After high school, Mia along with five other Bays Pride players decided to continue their education at CCBC Essex. While at CCBC, Mia and her teammates were able to help the team which only had two wins the previous year to improve the following year to a fifteen win season and advance to the JUCO national tournament in Florida.
Mia was actively involved in forming the 2012 Bays Crush along with her father Paul Brookshire who is the Head Coach of the team. The players love her knowledge of the game along with her calm and always positive attitude.
Mia is a very dedicated and extremely proud coach in the Bays. She said “I love being a coach in the Baltimore Bays. From the first minute I put on the uniform, I knew I never wanted to leave and I never will.”
