The Baltimore Bays Casa Mia U15s defeated BSC 2-0 last night at Cedar Lane in Harford County to advance to the MSYSA State Cup Championship Match.
At the midway point, there was no score and no overwhelming advantage either way. The Bays displayed a spirited effort from the opening whistle of the 2nd half and drew a PK @ the 50 minute mark when Malcolm Harris was pulled down in the box. DJ Kauyate successfully converted the kick to put the Bays ahead 1-0. A bit later in the half, the Bays found the back of the net when Harris played a ball in from about 30 yards out to the right of the goal at the end line. Mike Greene played the ball diagonally back across the box to Kauyate for his 2nd score of the match.
The Bays back line was tested but managed the clean sheet. With Matt Shinsky leaving the game following injury, Christian Wulff pinched into the middle with Greene to cover the central. GK Andrew Harris had to make a few saves to manage keeping an aggressive BSC side off the board.
The Bays Casa Mia U15s will now face the winner of Olney/SAC for the U15 MD Crown.
